Invisible to the naked eye, Esther runs straight for the parking garage where her car waits, making sure that she and Angela are in the screen of an obscenely large Hummer before she stops and puts her friend down. "Apologies, Angela. But I wasn't about to have that fight out in the middle of fucking Ball State University," she tells her friend.
Drawing her phone out of her pocket, she steps out into the flourescent light of the parking garage. "This way." She then leads the way down the street to what had used to be an old haunt of hers: the bar above The Cup coffee shop, once called Motini's, now called D-luxe. She texts as she leads the way.
Just then, that abominable phone buzzes in Gryphon's pocket again. When he pulls it out, there's a message on the screen from Esther.
{We are in the D-luxe, over the coffee shop, in the Village. Do NOT go towards the Tower. Shadows.}

In true Aodhfin fashion, the man picked the phone up once more and investigated the odd device that required physical precision to even unlock. It took about a total of five seconds before it was simply tossed to the ground and crushed beneath his boot, "They can tell me in person when I see them." The kindred continued walking towards the location and only paused when he actually reached the point of entry, if it happened to be locked or blocked. If it was not, he would step inside and begin to peer around quietly just to try and get an idea of where he may have been.
( ooc note: I try not to read scenes I am walking into ICly, to keep suspense and all going with some reasonably real reaction. Where exactly is everything going on at the moment )

"Fucking-Christ!" Angela felt her skin tingle, her fangs cutting into her gums as she sneered at her surroundings. She holstered her gun and followed the Daeva, the tingling evaporating form her skin.
"Esther, that was his beast. That shadow was his beast, it got out." She watched as Esther's fingers flew over the flat surface of her phone.
"Aodhfin could be walking in blind. Those things, are brutal."

"His what?" Esther looks at Angela incredulously, drawing her into a side street and away from prying ears.
"Tell me what you mean and quickly!" she hisses.

Angela pointed to her chest, "remember the nightmares, our beasts trying to rip out of our bodies. I don't think we were the only Kindred inflicted." She looked to the shadows around before continuing.
"I think his beast got lose and it was reaching for us." Angela thought back, her eyes going blank as she recalled every detail of that horrific moment before bringing her self back to Esther.
"Its his beast."

Esther simply nods. "We are going to get him," she says, reaching for Angela. "Hang on?"
((If Angela will let her, she will pick her up again and use Celerity to head back.))

Angela was eerily calm. Her face as blank as it was pale.
She nodded and took to Esther awaiting that tingling sensation in her skin.

They were there and then they weren't. Stepping out of the shadow of the Robert Bell building a few yards from the bell tower.
"Do you see him?"

Angela skimmed around, her dark eyes shadowed by a deadly glare.
"I don't see him, Esther." She looked to the Daeva. "Aodhfin can handle himself, but we'll keep close. Those things hit and they hit hard."

Screeching, the owl alerts Aodhfin to the terrible danger at the top of the tower, but the powerful - and possibly suicidally insane - Gangrel is undeterred. The mud-crusted leather of his boots crackle and creak against the winding concrete stairs, and fluorescent bulbs hum and flicker overhead. At the top of those stairs, he finds the door ajar -- and a clawed, shadowy hand reaching directly towards his heart!

Those shadowy and clawed fingers reached out for the gangrel from under the cover of flickering fluorescence and faded brick, clawing across the front of the brown leather coat the Gangrel wore. Those iridescent black extensions shredding the protection without any effort at all and almost claiming the scared chest of Aodhfin. Yet the shadow was left with nothing but slashed and melting ribbons of leather in its clutches.
The kindred target, Aodhfin, leapt backwards at the last possible second when his illuminant silver eyes finally caught sight of the shadowed creation, “Not this aga-.” His voice tragically cut short as his body began to plummet down a dozen or so stairs of the lengthy staircase. A heavy and loud thudding commotion clearly audible from even the ground outside of the Tower, "Du-duh' Gah' Mother-fuc..shit!"
Once still and laying across the steps, those silver spheres raised up just in time to see the iron door the Shade had been hiding behind burst open. The creature was quick, more so than the ones he had encountered in the woods. He watched as the metal beneath the corrosive shadow rusted and practically fell towards the ground with every step; its shadowy tendrils lashing out in various directions, frustrated its target had just narrowly escaped its target.
Aodhfin pushed himself up off the stairs he had fallen back on, already bruised from the dozen or so stairs he had fallen down. He knew he had to end this quickly and away from the eyes of mortals that were likely nearby—and so the Gangrel displayed the reason for his namesake: The Green Man. His flesh rupturing and breaking open across his arms and torso, with parasitic and acid leaking vines emerging like a plant from the nightmares of children. In a matter of seconds, Aodhfin looked something more akin to the ‘Swamp Thing’ than he did a Gangrel or any sort of kindred.
The two of them were about mid-way down the staircase now, leaving only one course of action for the Gangrel to take—Bull Rush. In a flash, Aodhfin charged back up the staircase he had already fallen down and in a single motion dove forward with his shoulder planting firmly into the gut of the Shade-like entity. His arm extended outwards and wrapping around the creatures waist, giving the monster no choice but to go with the unnatural force of the tackle. The two were flung through the door and into the tourist and storage area of the tower by the force, with Aodhfin continued his forward motion; rolling off the creature and burning himself in the process on the creatures black skin.
--
The creature didn’t need to push itself up, unlike Aodhfin, and simply seemed to grow and reform into a standing position. The same motion causing a few of its hellish tendrils to lash outwards and wrap around Aodhfin’s neck. The tendrils just barely missed as Aodhfin rolled to the side and grunted, his shoulder completely torn to bits by contact made from the bull rush against the creature. Aodhfin grasped his shoulder and grunted in feigned pain, relocating it with a single and swift push. Once the arm was relocated, he stood up and straightened himself out; a cool icy glare to his eyes while his fingers wrapped around and squeezed on the tendril in his grasp.
Neither of the two moved after that, neither made a peep or blinked. The two simply stared at one another …
Until finally the creature screeched loudly enough that it would be heard for several hundreds of feet around. The Shadow lashing outwards again with its claw and sending a few tendrils of pure darkness at Aodhfin, watching as only one landed and struck across the now bare torso of the Gangrel. Its strike rending flesh from bone and leaving a large gash across Aodhfin’s chest.
Aodhfin grunted further in pained response, his body striking out with its own whip like attack, “I got you now, bastard!” His entire body spinning to the side and sending the green acidic vine outwards, letting it cut through bars and beams alike before striking and landing across the creatures neck; entangling the creature. The creature didn’t even seem to register the attack, despite its blackened flesh being burned and melted with every moment of contact.
In response the creature lunged forward, slashing with his claws now and digging them deep into Aodhfin's arm. The black claws going in through the top and out through the bottom of the forearm! In this attack, the creature didn't even need to grasp Aodhfin, he had a part of the Gangrel's body skewered like a pig on spikes and hissed loudly; almost triumphantly knowing the kindred prey could not escape.
"You get my arm ... " Aodhfin panted, already growing tired from trying to keep his body together. Those silver and darkly glowing eyes becoming eerily focused as he used the acidic vine wrapped around the creatures neck, and looped it around his own arm that was impaled; tearing his own arm off from the bicep down! The creature stumbling back from the surprising action as a second vine is lashed around its neck to join the first, " ... BUT I GET YOUR HEAD!!!!"
Aodhfin quickly stumbled to the side, whipping his body to the left and suddenly taking off in a mad dash as he leapt forward and out a window from the belltower. His form flying out of the window before suddenly dropping down towards the ground that was nearly forty feet or more, dragging the Shadow towards the same path that Aodhfin had hastily rushed down himself. The shadow lashed its tendrils outwards, grasping and clinging to pipes and support beams—unable to stop its motion as its tendrils simply melted through and corroded the structure beams.
In a single and clean stroke, the creature collided with the window frame. While it may have not been an issue normally, under Aodhfin's weight the creature was helpless with its head caught between the vine like whip lashes and eventually physics won. The head of the creature being ripped right off and sent flying down to the ground as its body turned into a simple mixture of shadow and gunk on the now wobbling and leaning Ball State bell-tower. Aodhfin landed with a sickening crunch, the bones in his leg rupturing through the flesh or shattering almost entirely with the head of the shadow colliding onto the ground and melting away a few seconds later.
---
Aodhfin could already hear sirens and police coming, the belltower causing a loud crunching and shattering noise as it structural system gave out under the weight. The bricks leaning from one side to another before finally buckling and toppling down towards the ground. A flaming crash of mortar, brick, steel, and machinery coming toppling down and alerting the entire area that something had occurred. Aodhfin was unable to even move with his legs in the state they were, and he only had one course of action he could take as the large chunks of bricks and metal came toppling down around him.
A loud shriek sounded from his lips, sending a warning and message to his nearby friend; Radharc.
A few moments after that, the man took what strength he had left and slammed his fist into the ground ... a sudden wave of air pushing aside both grass and dirt as Aodhfin was absorbed into the ground and hidden from sight. He knew his arm would turn to ash come sunlight, or that the fire would turn it to dust in the next few moments. He knew the shadow would only leave behind dust. He knew he couldn't run away and risk being caught in this state.
The only thing he could do was go deep into the ground, and hope this wasn't the end.
[Aodhfin is currently in the ground (Protean 2)] [The Ball State Belltower has been destroyed.] [Police, Ambulances, and more are on their way.] [ ooc: Dan, back to you and your devious ways. ]

At first, Angela thought she was hallucinating; flash backs of mortars destroying buildings and the screams of villagers scattering in panic. It was wasn't a hallucination.
"Jesus Christ!"
Angela rushed toward the sound of what could be described as an explosion, and ran for the Tower, "get back! Everyone get back!" She shouted for the patrons to clear out before the building collapsed.
As the words left her mouth, the loud shambles rocked the Ball State Tower, sending the massive structure to the ground. Stone and metal crumbled, crashing to the ground like a well prepared demolition. Angela rushed as many people back from building before it claimed the ground, sending her diving for cover from falling stone.
The dust rose higher and as the sirens blared through the screams and cries of the people who had escaped with their lives, Angela lifted her head to the visual horror that awaited the city.

The words that comes from Esther's mouth are a jumbled, exclaimed mess of French as the world literally shatters around them, the Ball State bell tower imploding and crumbling to the ground! Grabbing hold of Angela, she quickly moves them out of the way of falling debris, though shrouded in dust and dirt and all manner of detritus.
"Angela? Are you all right?" She stands up, looking around. "Mon Dieu...Gryphon!"
The horror on Esther's face is nothing short of visceral. One imagines that, if she were capable of it, tears would streak her dust-splattered face.

Metal groans and stone crumbles -- flickering electrical cables lashing like claws at the scarlet-soaked sky. The mass finally churns and cascades, tumbling in deadly chunks toward passing students and cars. Driven by their preternatural instincts, Esther and Angela spring forward -- Angela towards the mortals, and Esther towards Angela! At least a dozen mortals are in harm's way, paralyzed with human hesitation. The billowing dust is red-black under the light of the Blood Moon.
(Angela: Roll Dexterity + Athletics or Brawl (your choice). The number of successes you roll is the number of people Angela is able to save (either by knocking them out of the way, or sheltering them with her body/other debris. She can save additional people, but doing so will get her 2 Lethal per person saved.)

Angela was only so fast, even as a kindred, her speed was limited. But the young Venture tried to save as many lives as she could, even at the cost of her own undead life. She managed to push two people from the falling building, shielding them with her body as she drove for the ground. Angela pushed herself up and rushed froward, sliding down on her back, her head falling back as she dodged a fallen metal beam. Angela reached out to the two trapped under the broken door.
"Reach for my hands!"
The two young women blindly reached for her, gripping at Angela's cold hands before the young kindred pulled the two other people free from the falling debris. Clouds of smoke burned her eyes, but she never lost sight of the two woman until they were a safe distance. She could hear the metal wining as it bent and broke, the heavy structure finding Angela and knocking her back to the ground; stone and other rubble, crushing her body.
As she laid under the debris, Angela moved her vitae through her body and willed herself to heal.
