Parking somewhere inconspicuous just off campus, Esther and Angela make their way through the campus towards the location that the bartender had intimated she'd overheard Remy planning to head with a likewise mysterious redhead. Inwardly, she rather hoped that he was just a horny asshole and had run off with another woman. That was easy and simple to deal with.

Angela walked with Esther, the Deava beauty, calm under pressure. The campus was quiet, a few cars. passing by, cutting through the eerie silence. The only sounds were their shoes on the cement sidewalk.

The two sharp-eyed Kindred carefully approach the tower. They pass easily among mortals, set apart only by their exceptional beauty -- and their sobriety. The human herd is everywhere, even at this late hour. Between students stumbling around drunk, or snapping selfies around and in the tower, this spot is hardly a discrete place to hold a rendezvous -- or a hostage. Situated in the middle of McKinley Avenue, the tower is exposed. But it is also breathtaking, even for those who do not (as a matter of habit) breathe. Ahead of them, the tower soars, illuminated in gold and silver. So much of the campus' architecture is Brutalist -- blank walls and exposed concrete, like the four slabs of a coffin plot -- Shafer Tower is rightly called the school's crowning glory. The moon hangs overhead, its rim tinged with red. The carillon tower sings, and the 48 bells fill the night air with a classic hymn tune. (Go ahead and make a Intelligence + Investigation Roll. If you succeed, you see and sense the Beast of a severe looking woman standing at the northern opening, eyes on the skies.)

Angela moved to avoid touching the drunken pedestrians. If a drunk bumped into to her one more time she send them flying on to their ass. The crowd was heavy for an evening on campus, but since the school year had started, the students had start slacking off and spending more time partying than studying.
The tower cut through the dimly lit campus sidewalk, the glow of lights from the Student Center, gave enough illumination to chase away any dark shadows that might be lurking around corners.

Esther glided through the crowd almost effortlessly, though, granted, she was quite used to making her way through crowds of inebriated plebes. She hadn't often meandered past the tower in the midst of the campus, the library and architecture buildings on one side, the Telecommunications and Art buildings on the other, the thru traffic of McKinley flowing on either side, students crossing frequently hither and thither. But, tonight, there was more than enough reason. Spying a redheaded woman who reminded her of her former editor in her demeanor, Esther turned to Angela where they stood across the narrow street from the tower to see if she felt that same grating against her beast, the creature inside growling and clawing at Esther's insides at being wakened by another's. The distant woman returns her eyes to earth, to the two Damned. She inclines her head in acknowledgment, and keeps her eyes locked on them. She makes no move to step towards them or to flee. Playing with the Daeva's pet was evidently an invitation of some kind. As well as an unmistakable insult.

Angela stopped a stared up at he woman.
"She's ballsy, I'll give her that." Angela looked for the nest way to approach, but the woman already knew they were here and that they were coming to collect.
"Lets go introduce ourselves." Angela looked to Esther.

Esther's eyes never left the redheaded woman who regarded her so brazenly. "Yes, let's." The two women crossed the street when it was clear and approached the bell tower. Esther kept her eyes on the woman, though a honey-and-cream smile curled her wine-dark lips.
"I got your note. Simply delighted. What can I do for you?" she then asked the woman mildly, once they were within polite speaking distance.

"Oh, darling, you are an absolute vision," the woman coos, slipping into the masquerade. Playing the game, her shoulders roll forward and she takes Esther's hands, giving the woman a gentle kiss on each cheek with dead lips. The hollow smile never reaches her eyes, missing by a mile. "Thank you so much for coming on such short notice - oh, and you brought a friend."
She offers Angela a cold hand, laying the other lightly over her heart. "Thea Foster," she introduces herself, indulging the usual pleasantries. She had not expected the soldier. "So glad you could join us." The three women can sense the shadows watching them hungrily. But when had mere darkness ever stopped these vampires from doing what they wanted?

Angela stood to the right Esther, equal in their standing with this, woman. She didn't offer a smile and she didn't take the woman's hand. The young kindred just stared, her eyes focused intently, waiting for Esther to engage and determine whether this was a conversation, or a conversation turned black bagging.
The shadows itched at her skin, her beast stepping forward then back again, declaring Angela as her territory. Angela felt her fangs press against her gums, the pain of them try to exit her skull snapped her back into focus and they retreated.

"Around here, they tend to call me Madame Montesori," Esther replies, fairly sure that this woman already knows more about her than she is comfortable with. Her brown eyes are trained on the woman's blues and, as Thea gushes, Esther remains marble-esque. Perhaps this is someone to send on to Sir Bennett-Grey when all is said and done. But first things first.
"You wished to speak with me, Miss Foster?"

Foster's false warmth fades, her face relaxing into a far more natural expression of cold severity. "No," she replies, her voice low enough for only the two other women to hear. "I wished for your cooperation. Tonight offers us a unique opportunity - to drive back this plague of darkness." She nods toward the skies, drawing the women's attention to the lunar eclipse, the rare Blood Moon. "Will you or will you not take advantage of that opportunity?"
The bells sound the verses of the old hymn, the tune perhaps reminding the women of the words:
Would you be free from your passion and pride? There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood; Come for a cleansing to Calvary’s tide; There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

"I'd appreciate an elaboration if Madame is so inclined and so generous," Esther replies, looking at Thea after observing the moon for a moment, her voice under the cover of the bells.

Angela kept her eyes to the woman in front of them. The moon had bled red, a strange eclipse hovering over them gave to the eerie encounter.
"How about you skip the cryptic and telling us what you want." Angela said it very matter-of-factly

Thea glances at Angela with a look of amazement. Rural Kindred were so very quaint. "It is not a matter of what I want. Let God's will be done."
She returns her attention to Esther. "Are you familiar with this hymn?" she asks, like a particularly pedantic Sunday school teacher. "There is Power In The Blood, Lewis E. Jones, 1899." She clasps her hands neatly, and tilts her head. "There is power in the blood of the lamb. Of your lamb. The sacrifice will shield you against the curses of - the shadows."
