"Why?" Esther asks, pausing from her work at the door handles and railings at the top of the stairs

Tilting the head back, she can see a set of perfectly normal human teeth - slick with the bubbling flesh of the gums, but normal.
But just there - tucked away behind the canines, see sees them. Unmistakable fangs, ready to descend at the first taste of blood.

Angela gently rested the burnt head back into place.
"Because he's kindred. Or was." She stood again, and looked to Esther.
"We need to call the Sheriff." Angela rubbed the back of her head, breathed out the smell of kindred blood and burnt dead flesh.
"That's a number I don't have."

"I do," Esther says, "We can call him on our way to finding this car, if he hasn't let his phone die. Though...I haven't heard from him, or seen him in weeks, so I somewhat doubt he will answer. We...argued the last time I saw him."
Not entirely true. It was the last time she saw him alone, but that is what matters, isn't it?

"I know where to find him, and if he doesn't want to rejoin the undead, I'll drag him out myself."
Angela whipped her fingers on her pants, attempting to clean her fingers of ash and blood.
"I'll call him from phone and if he answers, then we go. If not, we have secure area and make the human's stumble up here." Once again Angela pulled out the cell phone.
"The number, please." As Esther showed her the glow of her cell phone, Angela knew the number forever. She was quick to dial and waited as the phone rang.

Buuzzzt.
Buzzzt.
The gangrel simply looked at the device that was humming and buzzing with a mind-shattering shriek, otherwise known as a ringtone. The piece of plastic and silicon vibrating as he set it down on the table, "There are no buttons." Aodhfin was not quite for sure what the hell this thing was—a bomb, perhaps? It didn't look like a phone, phones had buttons and numbers on them; all this had was a screen and a very annoying ringtone that could have woken the dead.
Buzzzzt.
Buzzzt.
Arching his eyebrow, the kindred would reach back down and touch the screen as if expecting it to shut-up if his finger pushed through it hard enough, "Silence, magical technology. What Are You? Wait, I think I remember." Of course by now the two on the other end could actually hear Aodhfin talking since he had accepted the call. They could do more than just simply hear him though, they could hear a rather 'interesting' choice of music being played from what sounded like a record player; the record giving off a light static hum and a more 'pure' music experience even over the phone.
After a few moments the man would just give up on the cellphone, not even understanding how to 'turn it on', even though the device was actually working and on—if he cared to listen, he would likely hear one of them talking. It was only be sheer luck, that he picked it back up and held it close enough to see the text on the screen and possibly hear one of their voices on the other side, "Hello?"
Of course ... he was holding it upside down.

Angela frowned and stared at the screen.
"Aodhfin?" She glared at the phone and spoke again. "I can hear you and you have the phone upside, down." Angela covered the phone and looked to Esther. "Are you sure he knows how to work one of these?"
She returned to the brightly lit screen.
"I need you to meet me downtown. At the tower. We have a breech." She pressed the red button and handed the phone back to Esther. They didn't have time to tease the Gangrel; he had a job to do and so did they.
