Esther laughed lowly, a purring sound in her throat, as she heard the annoyance in Fairchild's voice. She merely sat back in her seat, resting her head back against the headrest.
"I'm a harpy. Dealing in information is what I do, what I am expected to do. It reminds me, I should get a report together soon," she murmured. Her dark eyes met Fairchild's icy gaze again.
"Did I insult you, Nathaniel?"

The sound of Esther's low laugh could only be described as sinister. It almost sounded like something that Fairchild would have done. Nathan huffed at her comment, a smile teased against his lips as she said it. "No." was the response that Esther received from the monochromatic beast. His fingers lightly rapped against the window once again before hie hand started to ball into a fist. He watched as she leaned back into the chair. "Yeah, you should get on that. Then again, is there even enough kindred around for it to be worth your time?"
Nathan lifted his head slightly as he continued to speak. "That's one of the things I wanted to talk to old Sebastian about. How many of us are there? Not enough to really pull out the whole king and country type of rule which he seems to be all about. Of course, I doubt you would agree with me on that...even in private. Heh, and that would put me on top of his most wanted list." Another slow roll of his eyes was given. THat was one thing he hated about kindred society. No matter what, they always fell back into the same bored routines.

"So far, it seems that Sebastian is willing to let us do as we will, as long as we don't cause trouble or leave bodies everywhere. Far less the king-and-country type than his predecessor or men like Porter and Van der Haas."
Esther reached up, pulling the pins out of her dark hair, letting the abundant curls fall down around her shoulders, drawing her fingers through the heavy mass of hair. She hadn't bothered to cut it tonight. A dark, heady scent wafts from the tendrils of her hair, like amethyst and spices.
"The only reason Sebastian would hunt you is if you have threatened him or his holdings. Have you, Nathaniel?" Esther asked the question pointedly, turning to face the Nosferatu who sits next to her in the intimate space.

"The only thing that he has going for him in my book is the fact that he is a Villain. That and he thinks on his toes. But..." Fairchild said, letting the silence finish the sentence for him. He actually chuckled, the sound rolled from his throat. When Esther dropped her hair, the car filled the sweet scent of promise. Nathan closed his eyes, focusing on the lingering perfume. He ground his teeth together, causing a soft pop to be heard. Twin pools of azure snapped open, locking on Esther's figure.
Natan canted his head to the side slightly, bringing his hand up to press against his chest. Family of five spread outward, his pale palm flattening against the thin fabric of his shirt. What could have been described as a growl rumbled from his throat. "Oooh, my dear Esther. What makes you think that I would do such a thing?" crooned Nathan. He raised an eyebrow slightly, watching her facial features as he playfully asked his question. He pressed his body back against the seat, causing it to squeak as he did so.

"Because it's what you do, Nathaniel, dear. You simply must be the biggest dog in the yard. It irks you when you are not and it shows, what's more," Esther replied oh so sweetly, running her fingers through her fragrant hair again.
"You really must work on that facade more."
She ran her fingers over the steering wheel of the sportscar, feeling the leather and its seams beneath her fingertips as she did. It was strange to be alone with him, what's more in such close quarters with him. And yet not. No matter how they felt about each other, lusted after or despised each other, they always ended up like this somehow.

Ah. There were those words of Esther. Esther had been known to destroy kindred by just words alone. It struck a cord with him, in the way she chided him almost as if he was a student. Nathan turned so that he was fully facing her. He leaned forward, his hand reaching out to grab a hold of the steering wheel. As her hand ran through her hair, it pushed more of that intoxicating perfume into the air. Nathan's left arm pushed into the back seat, only to press his hand flat against her seat. His eyes narrowed as that grin grew across his features. His eyes locked on her figure, remaining on her form as light played on her features.
"Is that so?" he hissed out to her. He tilted his head slightly, watching as she leaned back into the seat. His hand had almost covered her hand, the one which toyed along the steering wheel. "I wouldn't go so far as to say I have to be the biggest dog in the yard. But it's so hard when so many of your peers lack style and...personality. Listening and watching them is mind numbing."
Nathan opened his mouth, leaning forward as he did so. He stopped, snapping it shut with a snap.

Esther watched Nathaniel's display with a nonplussed expression on her face. She had seen the creature known as Fairchild at his worst and it no longer frightened or worried her. As he pushed himself into her personal space, her eyes never blinked, her expression never wavered as he loomed over her. When he snapped at her, she smiled, even going so far as to move forward, the tip of her nose almost touching his. Sharp, pearly-elegant fangs flashed in that smile for a moment before disappearing behind burgundy lips again.
"Personality is one way of putting it," she murmured.
It was a dance, one that she would never get away from with him, no matter how she might loathe what she considered a craven nature beneath all the bravado. It pushed out and pulled in time and time again.

Even if Nathan's personality was craven at times, there was always a plan behind the monster's actions. He watched her as she turned to him, her nose almost pressing against his. Nathan almost leaned forward as he took in a deep breath. She could hear him do it, his dead lungs filling with her perfume. His grip on the wheel tightened as his hand brushed against hers. If there was any word to describe the monster in front of her, it was ravenous. He hungered for all the things that had been denied to him. He wanted it all, and he would do whatever it took to get what was stolen from him. Breath rolled from between twin tiers as the beast stared down the beauty.
Almost like a wolf, he edged closer so that the tip of his nose would lightly press against hers. "How would you put it, Esther?" said Nathan softly. Fairchild took note in the soft change in her eyes, in that cold expression that she was currently giving him. "You better watch it, kitten. Your fangs are showing."

Esther smirked a little, hearing him breathe in, taking in her scent. She knew she was intoxicating, always had been. "And what if they are? No one is here to see," she replied, tilting her head slightly and smiling again, the tip of her nose brushing Fairchild's again.
"As for how I would put it...you don't want to know, Mr. Wolf. I can be quite the bitch at times," she replied.
"And yet...you're awfully close..."

“Heheh...that never bothered you before.” the soft chuckle rippled from the beasts throat at Esther’s comment. Baited breath was hot on her throat. Nathan had started to slowly pull back, his grip tightening on the wheel as he did so. Muscles rippled underneath his pale flesh almost like a great feline. As she brushed against him, he turned slightly. What could have been described as a snarl teased on the edge of his lips. Nathan felt the soft tug on the corner of his mouth as a small bubble of blood started to form.
Blue eyes snapped open to lock on her amber gaze. Nathan’s hand pulled itself away from the wheel. He pressed the back of his gloved hand against his mouth, only to slowly wipe it. “...you are singing to the crowd with that comment, Esther. So...do you think Villain will be able to keep the parasites at bay this time around?”

Esther watched the vampire before her retreat back from her personal space, the Daeva never flinching, even as his grip tightened around the wheel and her fingers.
//You blinked. I win.//
"Villain will do as his family always has done to keep what he has gotten: what he must," Esther replied rather matter-of-factly.
Reaching up, she drew her hair over her shoulder, exhaling an unnecessary breath. "So, you wanted to tell me how to get in contact with you?" she broached the subject once more. Since that was why he had come to her, after all.

That trademark smile crept across his features as she moved on to the reason why he had came here. Honestly, it was cause she had dragged him out here. But that didn’t matter right now. Nathan let go of her hand, spreading his hand as he did so. He extended his digits, almost as if he was about to present a trick like a stage musician. Nathan’s voice crooned as he spoke. “...and in that case, he’ll have someone else do it.” retorted Nathan back to her. He was wrong in that regard, but now he was just poking at the Daeva.
He twisted his hand as he pulled it toward his body. Fingers grazed against his inner pocket, grabbing for the defaced card that rested within. The front half was almost readable. It might have been a pass to The Joker’s Wild, but dark marker had covered up whatever was on the front with “Blah Blah Blah”. On the back, it was white card stock.
A small stick figure with fangs was drawn yelling at someone. It was probably Esther, since the hair almost mimicked hers in a childish manner. In bold, with a cartoon bubble around it, was his current number. He extended his digits towards her, making it so that she would have to reach for it to grab it. If she went for the card, he would teasingly pull away the first time. “Maybe you think that love would tie you down, and you don’t have time to haaaang around. Maybe you think that love was made for fools, and so it makes you wise to break the rules.” Nathan bit his lip softly, taking in another deep breath. It was then that he turned his head slightly as he watched her out of the corner of his eyes. That smile started to tug at his lips again.
“Oh little girl, in that case I don’t want no part. I do believe that, that would only break my heart.”

Esther did indeed reach for the card, her slender fingers grasping only air as Nathan snapped it away, only to start crooning again. She listened only passively as he sang the lovey-mopey lyrics. Had she found this endearing once?
And all this talk of love.
When he offered the card again, she took it with measured slowness, her fingers brushing his again.
"You speak like a man with a broken heart," she purred.

“Me? What makes you think that? Oh, no. Heh.” stated Nathan cooly back to Esther as she purred to him. He chuckled, licking his lips as he pushed himself back into his seat. He couldn’t help but keep that smile up as Esther had gone for the card.
There was a slight crane in his neck as his gaze went to the window. His jaw jutted out slightly as his right hand went through his hair, keeping those locks in place. “I’m just a fan of good music. If you don’t like that, then that’s on you, kitten.” he smirked. He started to look back to her, his right thumb lightly teasing against his cheek.

"My taste in music is my own affair, no one else's," Esther replied with her own measure of cold mirth in her voice. "And what tells me this is experience, Nathaniel, dear."
She reached then for the ignition button her car, the machine growling to life and then settling the purr beneath them with its seductive vibration.
"Do you play music all day while you sleep?" she then asked, looking at him.
