Amongst the fluttering and temporary light that danced amongst the music and slithering forms of debauched and wanton flesh, a single figure entered that did not quite match the typical lustful grace that filled the lobby of the Chicago Theater. The Greater Chicago Court may have been used to the estranged Nosferatu or subtle Mekhet, but in the estranged and subtle nature of this presence was a ferocity and savagery that screamed Gangrel. The presence was masked and hooded by modern fabrics and garbs, but screamed of an Old World presence that was remarkably similar to the particular style of another kindred.
Once he made his way through the initial crowd, and towards the 'Murder', he stopped cold in his tracks and began to turn his head from one side to another. It was obvious he was scanning the room and searching for something, or someone. In the process of scanning the room, the hood that concealed his face would stir just enough to fall back and reveal his ruggedly handsome self. The individual did not even have the decency to take notice if there was an individual swooning over his appearance, biting their tongue, or scowling from his presence. Aodhfin had work to do, introductions to make, and a commitment to continue moving forward.

A sudden grip on his arm halts the man's stride forward. A strong grip but distinctly feminine is the arm that slips itself into the crook of his arm, guiding him subtly away from the Murder that waits to devour the newcomer. "And here I thought I would never have the pleasure again," Esther's voice pours out in honeyed tones as she leads Aodhfin away to a more private corner of the lobby. When she turns to face him, her appearance painfully beautiful and marble-esque, her form screaming out for one to take hold of it, Esther's dark eyes hold the immense relief and shock that she dare not speak aloud in this place. Instead, she says softly, "So good to see that you have joined us, Angel. I was beginning to fear that you were going to stand me up." (( 2 successes on Composure roll))

The sudden grip on his arm was enough for the Gangrel to prepare himself to unleash the Fire Ax that was slung across his back, yet his hand stayed when the honeyed voice spilled from unseen lips. The voice was distinct, memorable, and all too familiar. Esther would find leading the Gangrel was easy enough once he knew who it was, "I've been getting that a lot recently, i'm starting to think people doubt me sometimes." His own voice was a raspy mixture of depth and animism, with a tone and cadence fit for predator, "It makes it painfully enjoyable to always be the surprise."
Once the two were back in the corner, the socially lacking Gangrel turned his silver hued and amber tinted eyes to her own dark iris'. After a few brief moments of considering her words, and coming up completely empty handed, the Gangrel would give a rugged and mostly sincere smile, "Y-yeah, would not want to do that."
He would hold steady in that private corner of the lobby and let a partial smirk cross his lips, "You look good tonight — you look good every night, but you know what I mean." His eyes would stay with her own, never straying to an overt gaze across her form.

Esther let a genuine smile peek out at her friend from behind the mask, almost as if the real woman was winking at him before slipping it back on again. She was glad to see him.
"Thank you. When one must impress, after all. So...who is your quarry for the night?" she the asks Aodhfin, "In this undead jungle...?"

The hint of a smile was enough to elicit a coy look, not across his lips but one from his eyes. After a moment he would finally bring his hands upwards, letting on rest on his side and the other brushing his hair back, "You always do impress. As for this swamp of undeath ... Lets just say even in subtly, i'm not that subtle."
His hand would pull back from his hair and a single finger would extend outwards to point towards the back area, where the private rooms and Prince Hermann were located.

Esther arches an eyebrow. "That...is a dangerous idea, Angel," she begins to say but then reins herself in, "But...any man as gifted with survival as you...you would be the one to be successful at it."
She pauses for a moment, drawing closer to him, what to the outside world might look like an intimation of things to come. Esther looks up at Aodhfin, the man that she first knew as Seraph. "Just...be careful, oui?" she says, breath barely passing her lips to form the words on the air between them.

The Gangrel tried to rein in the playful smile that pulled at the curves of his lips, "I survive because i'm not careful. What is the point of laying plans? It is easier to be the monkey-wrench in the plans of others. Nothing to try and salvage, but able to wreck everything." The man would watch as Esther neared him and came intimately close, his eyes straying down to follow her lips for a moment.
Despite his statement, he would eventually nod and at least let her gain some peace — the sincerity of which was dubious considering the source. His eyes pulled back upwards to her own and looked out towards the crowd behind her, "Oh, if you weren't aware of it ... Sebastian Ainsworth is still with us. I don't know of Angela, or the others though."

Esther's eyes lower for a moment before she answers, "The pouty one is. Angela...I don't know." She reaches out to brush Aodhfin's arm gently as if they were speaking of intimate things.
"But we can hope."

The expression that Esther was presented was one that consisted of sternness and softness, a beast that held the mask of aggression but the eyes of a man with a kinder nature. The touch was not wholly unappreciated, simply not expected in this place. The gangrel had little understanding of the social grace and murder of harpies that circled for the smallest sip of rumor and gossip, "However unlikely, they may have come here as well. I'll keep my eyes and ears keen. What of you though, are you ... adapting?" This was far from comfortable ground for the Gangrel now, especially in public — with the exception of one other individual, Esther had managed to draw more words from Aodhfin in this small conversation than most could in a month.

Esther gifted Aodhfin with her heat-igniting smile. "Me? Oh, darling, you know that adaptation is my meat and potatoes," she murmured, "But I would appreciate it if you would let me know."
She stepped back from him then. "Forgive me for waylaying you, Angel. I need to go make my own introduction but I shall wait to make sure that you return from your...quest."

The Gangrel smirked a bit with the her confession of adaptation, almost solely for the reason of what was considered adaptation in most kindred circles, "Meat and potatoes ... huh." Aodhfin would purposely let a silence fall between them for the longest of moments before nodding, "I will ... as for the meeting, that might take a while."
The kindred would bow his head a bit and turn to face towards the private entry door, "We'll see ... what happens."

"Mind your course of action," Esther murmured under her breath, "I would not yet like to be...unsurprised." She glances towards the door herself, letting the silence stretch once more as her eyes gauge those around them as well.
