Sebastian knew what was there, but was ill prepared for the trigger. Time seemed to slow as Sebastian saw the shock wave of the explosion but was powerless to get out of the way. It hit him like a ton of bricks and tossed him like a rag doll, flames licking at him, threatening to devour him whole. He must have blacked out for a second as his head impacted the asphalt, because the next thing he knew Angela was pulling him to his feet.
Surrounded by gun fire, and the threat of being run down by more hunters in a truck, Sebastian's mind began to race. His limbs lengthened flowing like putty by his will alone. He hit the driver side of the SUV hard, not bothering to slow down, denting the paneling with the impact. He was grateful for the new SUV's technology. The doors unlocked and the car started just on him approaching, so all he had to do was climb in and throw it into gear. Sebastian did just that, checking to make sure the Angela was in the car, he threw it into gear. 4 wheel drive kicked in and grabbed at the frozen pavement, traction control automatically taking into account the slippage on the road, and the SUV kicked like a mule as it caught.
Bullets ripped into the side of the vehicle, and flames roared after them. Sebastian payed them no mind, he pushed the heavy SUV to it's limits using everything at his disposal. He called on his beast for increased reflexes, and allowed the blood to flow, hot and fluid, through his limbs. Had they been in anything other than the SUV, he was sure they wouldn't have made it. Curbs, trash cans, debris, all of it seemed to jump out at them on the icy roads, and by the time they hit the open road the vehicle looked like it'd been through a demolition derby. Functional, but not pretty.
They hit the 465, and Sebastian opened the throttle up. He moved the SUV in traffic, swerving to get around other slower cars. As they hit 69 north bound and the un-lite shelter of it's darkness, he turned to Angela.
"I'm going to need you to jump. They're still behind us, but at this speed if you roll off the road fast enough.....ugh!" he turned the wheel narrowly missing a station wagon, the tires squealing in protest and almost losing control. "Bloody hell....just jump and roll, I'll lead them away!"

You're gonna bob and weave out of the path of a bullet? That I'd like to see.

The bullets starting flying, the 9 milometer rounds she sent down to the fire bug hit him square in the chest. Whether that took him down or not, Angela couldn't confirm as the SUV jerked to life and sped over the packed snow and ice. It was enough to get them to the cover of the vehicle as a litter of bullets destroyed the outside finish.
The chase was on. 465 was empty, save for a few slow cars. The roar of the hunter's truck kept up, weaving through the small amount of traffic and keeping up pace.
Sebastian held control of the large SUV and as he suggested she jump, Angela didn't argue; she didn't say anything. She simply nodded and opening the door, jumped.
She seemed to fall forever before she hit the snow packed ground. The road was rough, scraping her exposed skin as she rolled with the the fall. She felt her shoulder snap as she rolled faster and continued to fall, the hill side road leading to a small forested area below. The last thing Angela saw before hitting the ground with a hard stop, was the red of the rear lights on the SUV.
The sounds of gun fire echoed down the highway. Some where in her fall she lost her weapon, her holster being jerked from her body. She laid there, staring up at the snow fall. Trying to collect herself. The screaming of tires against the road drew Angela's attention back, she dig her way to the top of hill. Snow and mud caked her sore hands and as she climbed, sounds of metal hitting the road rail echoed through the gun fire. Angela peered over the hill; a scene of bent and crushed metal lettered the highway. Shouts and more gun fire rang out before the road was silent.
The snow continued to fall. Already slowly coating the over turned SUV. Angela couldn't see Sebastian and panic tightened her chest. The hunter's gathered around the twisted metal. With out word one pulled a grande from a clip at his chest pocket they retreated into the truck. The explosive device was ejected, thrown with the peal of tires in the wake of the wreaked SUV. Angela took cover as the truck roared past her make shift hiding place. A gush of air flooded the area as another explosion ripped apart the large vehicle, leaving it in a pile of fire and smoke. Angela watched the destruction grow in flames.
Sirens wined and she took her escape and headed into the woods and back to Muncie on foot.
