The Storyteller Staff (Apryl, Dan, Grace, and myself) has finally decided to open the world up to all of the players! If this game is to survive and really spin it's own web of mystery and intrigue, we really need to relocate and set the official location in a larger city. Muncie is barely large enough to support a few kindred, let alone a dozen or more. The city of Muncie is also lacking in certain 'notoriety' for certain NPCs and Plots to really seem possible.
We all love Muncie, but it just can't really achieve what we all want or are interested in. Keeping this in mind, we are going to move the official game location to a different and large city. The four of us talked, and came up with three possible locations for the game to take place. It was also decided that we would set a poll up and let you, as the players, decide where that new location will be!
The majority of us thought Chicago was the perfect location, with its mystique and dark history—Chicago really is the Wonderland for Kindred, with its social strife, political intrigue, mass size, and dark history ... all of which just paint a perfect Requiem backdrop and setting. Saint Louis was another choice, due to it's civil strife, corruptions, scandals, and mortal politics. Indianapolis was the third choice, just because we thought offering three would be best and Indianapolis is familiar ground for everyone.
Please keep in mind, that you will get what you vote for.
Chicago will bring unknown elements, larger-than-life NPCs, and story just dripping in history and mystery. Saint Louis will paint a more political and social backdrop for the kindred, between race tensions and scandals. Indianapolis will be Indianapolis, we all know it already.
This will let us open the world up quite a bit more and not restrict characters to just one place we all know like the back of our hands! This will still be Middlewhere, I promise you all that! It will just not be located in Muncie anymore, and a further explanation will be coming shortly on that. Before you ask ... Muncie will likely be unreachable for a bit (at least), even if you choose Indianapolis. There will be a story and reason on why Kindred are leaving!
For now we have three locations to select from ...
As a Bonus, I will also be including a new location on the forum for all kindred to travel to and enjoy from time to time.

NEW ORLEANS!

If you haven't yet, just click on the name of the city and a check mark will show up.
ST Edit: Yes, click on the name of the city you want! If you want to change your mind or vote, click on the city you already voted for (removes vote) and click on the new one!

Should we be expecting a larger cast of NPC's in the new setting?

Click the names in the pools, directly on top of them.
And yes, depending on where you pick.
Like I said, Indianapolis is pretty much the 'familiar' ground. No new NPCS, there will be plots and such but nothing horribly new or such.
Chicago and St Louis will have a crap ton of new stuff, including NPCS and stories to tell.
St. Louis will be more kindred vs human society.
Chicago will be more kindred vs kindred society.
I mean, regardless of what you pick ... there will be new stuff, but the new stuff really depends on what city is picked. Quite a few of the NPCs will be canon as well (Unholy, Red Jack, Bloody Mary, Burch, et cetera), as well as some literary NPCs (Anne Rice characters may make an appearance or something).

This will be a great opportunity for all the players and STs as well. While I have no doubt that some will miss Muncie, the change will fit in nicely with the system switch over.
As an ST, I look forward to playing new NPCs and ploting more horrors..er I mean, telling more stories for you all. ^-^

So exciting! I voted for Chicago. I think existing and new characters would really thrive there, and I'm so, so inspired. Been wanting to play/help run a game set there ever since I cracked the first book of the Dresden Files.

I, for one, think everyone would want to see what happens when Chicago's own prodigal son Fairchild returns to claim what is rightfully his...

Aodhfin has never actually been to Chicago I think, with the exception of that one visit to Chi-kalb.
