Dear Members and Friends,
If you have not gotten a copy of the new book, please contact me. I will not give you a free book, that would be stealing, but I can at least teach you the system through chat messages.
We will start to make the transition to the new system shortly, and i'm anticipating quite a few people may need some help or have questions they need answered. There are two things I want to make absolutely clear during this points of transition.
During this time of transition, role play will continue! The board moves slowly enough that continuing play will not be a huge issue. There will be some changes that happen though, characters may have to adopt new traits or change small little tidbits about themselves. None of this is going to be drastic and change the fundamental nature of your character, I promise. Over the new few weeks I will also be making short (read: sort-of-short) threads in the 'Vampire the Requiem' sub-board that will go over certain rules and the system, so make sure to check that if you need help!
On a last note, please feel free to ask how something works directly on this thread. If you have read the book or have a question about something, and place it on this thread, I will likely make a separate thread and go over everything for that; like I did for the character creation.

So i've been reading (and enjoying) the new book and I was curious going over character creation if we will still have bonus xp as part of character creation either as a static number or associated with flaws like it was before. Input is welcome!

At this point Alejandro ...
I am going to be giving a static amount for all characters across the board. The reason for this is pretty simple. If we were to start at the current amount of experience that we all already have, the characters would be walking gods that could likely shake the foundation of any other venue (which is fucking impressive, considering how powerful Changeling and Mages are).
3 XP, in the new system, is all you need to level up a discipline.
Level 1 to 2? 3 Experience. Level 4 to 5? 3 Experience.
The entire new experience chart has been changed, rather drastically, to fit with their new experience system overhaul. It is one of the few points in the book that is completely different from the previous edition of Requiem.
I will be doing a 'Break down' of Experience and Beats in the Vampire the Requiem sub-board as well!

Makes sense, the xp table definitely made me do a double take to see if it was an error.
