It was Christmas, the streets lined with cars from visiting families as well as snow. Most businesses were closed but some were opened. Gas stations, restaurants, movie theaters. People coming and going, but now the sun has been down for many hours and the traffic had slowed. Families snuggled in each dessert and watching a movie. Quinn left a surprise on the Wilson's doorstep and ran the door bell before taking off in her car to The Orchid Lounge. She got out of the car, towing a couple of bright pink and black suitcases behind her and knocked on the door. Esther was expecting her and Quinn was ready.

The doors open swiftly, admitting Quinn, and then promptly close and lock once more again. "Evening, Ms. Quinn," Esther greets her, leading her swiftly to the club space on the second floor where her hoop apparatus has been installed and lowered for her use. Mitchell putters around in the DJ booth, prepared to operate the raising mechanism for the hoop and the music for Quinn's audition. Most of his family was passed out from food and nog by now anyway. And Esther was paying him double for his time. "If you wish to change, please," Esther gestures to a hidden door that leads to a dressing room.

"Thank you very much." and Quinn walks to the dressing room, inside she stretches and changes clothes. She walks out of the dressing room and back over to Esther. "I have three songs and a new hoop being shipped to my house. It's a frame, that performance is usually done higher in the air. Not really a centerpiece more of a nice ambiance." she explains. In this outfit most of Quinn's scars are hidden. Even the ones one her face, hidden by her baby curls.

((So sorry! Busy holidays!))
Esther, seated beyond the dance floor below, nods. "Then let us see what you can do and we shall see if we cannot make this work," she replies, though noncommittally. She is a businesswoman first, a kindly heart second.
//Let's see what the little Haunting can do. At least she covered her marks.//
"Just give Mitchell his cue whenever you are ready, Miss Quinn," she instructs.

Quinn stands in the middle of the stage and nods to Mitchell and the lights dim, she takes position and when the lights come up she begins her routine to the darker song. She keeps her movements fluid yet a little jerky at points to grasp the seduction and danger of the song. (( www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySgixrtxcrE )) ((Roll- presence4+craft2 (spec1)=7+2=9 1 sucess)) She lands bowing and the lights dim again, it takes a moment but in no time Quinn is visible again. This time her hoop has an added circle to it. This song her movements are different, there is no jerky movement but her face is light. (( www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJxZY1-EYM0 )) ((Roll- presence4+craft2(spec1)7+5=12 2 sucesses)) Finally her regular hoop is back in the air and this song is more fantasy, more fluid as if she is dancing in water. Her eyes closed as she preforms lost in a story, falling deep and deep down the rabbit hole. (( www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJfrkn1Ud7E )) ((Roll- presence4+craft2 (spec1)7+9=16 4 successes )) ((I'll post the rolls as soon as I figure out how it works on the dalines website))

(To roll, visit this page, enter your character name, a description of your action, and a dice pool of 1. Then click on Roll! You'll want to copy the URL of that page into your post. To calculate successes, add that number you rolled to the sum of your Attribute + Skill. The number of successes is based on "8+3" -- 1 success for a total of 8, and an additional success for each +3 beyond 8. If you're having any trouble, I'm happy to trust you to roll on your own and simply post your result that way. Dalines can be a little confusing!)

Esther watches Quinn go through her routines with a placid look, observing the woman's acrobatics with no visible bent here or there. When she is done, Esther applauds briefly. "Well done, Miss Quinn," she says, "Feel free to change and then we will talk," the Daeva says.
"Mitchell, return Miss Quinn's music and then you can head on home, dear. I'll lock up."
The retainer nods. "All right, Esther. See you tomorrow. Merry Christmas!"
"Merry Christmas, Mitchell," she replies as the young man does as requested before making his way out of the ORchid and into the cold Christmas night.
Esther, meanwhile, waits for Quinn to join her at her table.

Quinn thanks Mitchell with a smile and heads to the dressing room. After a long moment she comes out in the original dress she had on before. Scars definatly exposed in this dress, especially the deep deep scars on her chest at her heart. She joins Esther at her table "Thank you for allowing me to perform for you." she says warmly.

Esther nods elegantly in reply as Quinn seats herself. "Your performance as very graceful and lovely, Miss Quinn. I think that it could be a boon for special events. An added touch of 'special' for the Orchid's well-paying clients. Erego, I would not have you performing on a regular basis but only as needed. A special act for special clients."
Her smile is graceful and sophisticated as she sits up straight in her chair. "What say you, mademoiselle?"

"That sounds wonderful. Would these be our kind or regular people?" she asks, thinking of how horrifying her talent can become if she willed it to be. Thinking it could come in handy to have a little fear mixed with lust to set the mood of an interigation. No need to be so cold and brass when you can stay classy.

"Regular folks. Mortals," Esther replies, "Private parties for high-paying clients who wish an extra dose of the unusual for their parties. A little Cirque du Soleil, if you will. I will draw up contracts at the time for you."
