Crimson Visions: Higher Yearnings (an excerpt)

Sebastian left the building with his thrall in tow. He’d grown restless in the board meeting but was patient and didn’t actually rip anyone throat out. The cold night air brushed against his skin and he reflexively took a deep breath in. The move completely mimicking humanity, except when he exhaled there was no steam.

He felt his thrall push into his arm, clutching at him for warmth. Warmth he couldn’t give her. That didn’t seem to phase her though. Sebastian looked down at her, his nose assaulted with the sweet smell of roses from her hair. He was suddenly aware of how close she was. He could see the pulse in her neck and see the veins in her breast. Hunger rose like a wave in his gut, crashing on the shore of his mind. He pushed it away, or tried to, until something else grabbed him.

Not this time brother.

Something else pushed it’s way into his mind. He pushed his thrall into a dark corner and pressed his mouth to hers, forcing his tongue in her mouth. She gasped in surprise, struggling briefly before being overwhelmed by the sensation of her Regent “needing” her. She gave into it quickly, bitting his lip hard enough to produce blood. He gave her what she wanted, forcing vitae through the bite. He pulled away, their mouths stained red with the stolen life from Sebastian’s veins. He locked eyes with Stephanie, before leaning into her neck. She moaned in anticipation. He bit, parting her skin and causing a spurt of hot blood to spray into his mouth. He latched on, lapping at the crimson liquid greedily, then grunted as Stephanie bit him back. She latched on to his shoulder, having pulled back the collar of his shirt, and took a chunk out of his skin.

They spent several minutes in cyclical pleasure, Sebastian stealing life, and Stephanie stealing it back, before the cycle broke down and Stephanie passed out. Sebastian caught her, pulling back from her now savaged neck. He growled, forcing his own wounds to close, while running his tongue over the jagged hole he had rent in her body.

That was too far sister.

You should do that more often brother, restraint doesn’t suit you.  Besides you both liked it.

It didn’t take long for Sebastian’s blood to catch up with the blood loss Stephanie had suffered, and she woke. He smiled up at Sebastian, dabbing her clean of gore with his handkerchief. Neither said anything as they put themselves back together, completely satisfied with the release of sexual tension.

Quietly, arm and arm, they walked off into the campus night. Content.
