The winter wind was crisp, cold and steely like a familiar blade across the skin. The moon glared down at her, beams of misty blues and grays hid nothing from mother nature. Angela felt her skin grow cold, and dip in temperature as the winter winds bit back in her face. Hunger was nagging at her, tempting her to feed from larger stocks of prey. But Angela chewed back the temptation and knelt on the cold ground, her hand pressed to the solid earth.

Closing her eyes to light of the moon, she called to the wild. She could feel them moving under the dead leaves, skittering along the forest grounds rushing toward the calls of a larger Beast. But she needed a larger source of blood. Angela called deeper, further out into the woods were the scavengers roamed and hunted alone through brush. The howls of coyotes echoed back through the woods responding to her call. The sound of paw to ground rustled the leaves, scattering the smaller creatures to their own burrows.

Angela opened her eyes, orbs a black abyss, swallowing what little white was lift of her human stare. The kindred stood, fangs sliding down through her gums, a twinge of pain spiking her appetite. Two approached, covered in dirt and smelling of river water. Angela beckoned one forward, piercing the creatures eyes with her stare.

"Sit." Angela bent over the creature and stroked it's matted fur, a smile curling her lips her fangs peeking through the facade she wore so very well.

She was on the coyote, fast and quick as the creature yelped before falling still and calm under the kiss of her fangs. Blood rushed into her mouth, fur bristling against her face as the stink of river water invaded her nose. The other coyote growled in protest, but as Angela gazed perked up at the growling creature he whined and ran off. Angela bit harder against the coyotes neck it's body and mind starting to fade. She let the creature go, licking her lips before sitting on the cold dead earth.

The Beast had been fed and as she watched the coyote stumble along, Angela felt the need for more...
