Seated on a street bench near the main road through downtown muncie, the pale gangrel sat. His eyes moved over the cars that zipped by with drunken coeds and vacationers, trying to catch sight of their faces and memorize each one. Of course it was a futile activity, something that simply passed the time for him and kept his mind off of other things. There were so many things to do and responsibilities to satisfy, yet the gangrel couldn't bring himself to do a single one; besides sitting and watching the crowds pass by.
If he had to guess, an annoyance would find him soon enough ...
While he waited for such an annoyance though, his eyes continued to watch. Every car that zoomed by got a small glimpse of the wolf in human guise, dressed in his traditional brown leather jacket and a pair of blue jeans. As always, his sunglasses were down and covering his eyes, keeping them from being seen; except on the rare occasion his hand brushed over them when stroking back his blonde hair. When his hand did pass over them and through his hair, a random child or such would get a startling sight of silverish gray gazes that pierced deeper than their father's glare ever could.

A midnight walk called to her, a break from endless thoughts and endless anger. She wanted out of Muncie and to escape the confines of the small city. Mostly for her own benefits, but also just to get out.
Her hands were cold from the winter wind, she tucked them comfortably in her jacket pockets. As the lights came into view, a familiar form invaded the lamp light. The bench dwarfed at the Gangerl's size. Angela's scent reached around him, tickling his nose with the smells of mint and rosemary.

We have a wiener ...
After he took a few moments, the gangrel perked his head up and tilted it to the side, his eyes on at Angela with a mild smile. The dark sunglasses obscured his eyes even with the brightness of oncoming vehicle lights, which also hid the fact that the kindred was letting his eyes move about the area—rather than staying on Angela entirely. When his vision failed to catch sight of another, his eyes fell back onto her and he moved over on the bench a bit to make room; a newspaper being lifted and read in a manner that screamed 'feigned interest'.
When the woman was close enough to hear, Aodhfin let a rasp voice pour from his lips, "What dragged you out tonight?"

" 'A lonely impulse of delight.' " The words of William Butler Yeats crept from her lips before she could stop it. Was she being a smart ass or being whimsical?
Angela?
Whimsical?
Nope.
"I'm surprised to even see you around. I figured you'd be off roaming the state, now that the shadows have shattered." Angela took the offered seat, the cold of the roadside bench soaking into her jeans. Angela seemed distant, but not brooding.
"I'm heading to Indianapolis in a couple of nights. See what's shaking the city." Angela watched the street, her eyes never lingering on the lone Gangrel.
