"No, it does not surprise me. As you say, debt is life. We all owe something to someone. It would surprise me if you did have money, actually. I do not trust anyone easily. And I distrust anyone with an excess of wealth. It makes me wonder what they do in order to get their wealth." He grins and watches her as she works.

Angela let out a soft chuckle.
"That'd surprise me too."
Dust and cob webs scattered to over her head as the wires came falling the scuffed wood floor.
Brushing the dust from her face and hair, "What do you do, to make a living, other then collecting debts."

Jean gives her a slight smile. "I have been around long enough to know that there is very little that our kind truly need to survive. Cars, homes, even the clothes on our back, none are necessary in the grand scheme of things. Blood is everything. And blood is cheap. The few things I choose to add to the need for blood are easy to come by, if one knows the things I know." He shrugs, as if that answered the question.

Angela stared down at the kindred in her haven. Nothing about being a monster was clean or easy. She stepped from the latter, the old frade wires gripped in her hand.
"Alright then." Anglea was suddenly torn from a normal conversation right back to talking monster basics.

Jean rolls his eyes and sighs. "I either sell information, for cash or favors. Or I use the information itself to get what I need. Does that more adequately answer your question?"

Angela observed the monster as he rolled his eyes, like a child. Jean was used to getting what he wanted and he was good at playing people.
"Yes, it does. Since you deal and trade in information, I assumed you'd appreciate specifics." Angela dropped the ragged wire into a large barrel serving as a trash container.
"I think we're done for the evening." Her tone wasn't biting or agitated. Angela looked around happy with the progress. "When ever you feel the need to collect what I owe you, feel free to drop by." She dusted off her hands and held out her right, for a simple hand shake.
"Thank you again for your help, Jean."

Jean looked at her hand for a moment before looking up at her. He did not take her offered hand. He smiled. "An open invitation? I think I will have to take you up on that then. Be seeing you, Angela." He sets down his tools and with a somewhat weary look, he grabs his jacket. Pulling it around himself against the cold, he heads towards the door to take his leave.
