Crimson Visions: Appetites

"Spare a couple bucks, bruh?" the homeless man called out to Alejandro as he passed in front of him in the secluded alleyway.  His breath stank of the malt liquor that inhabited the paper sack in his hand.

In a flash of fury and preternatural strength Moreno grabbed the filthy man by his throat pushing him up the wall and off his feet concussing him in the process, fangs tearing into the other's neck through an unkempt beard silencing any potential cry.  In deeply greedy gulps he changed the man's blood to vitae as it entered his body.  The other man weakened quickly his feeble kicks changing to mere spasms.  Every swallow only deepened the kindred's frustration, it didn't taste right, wasn't substantial and did nothing to sate his hunger.  The truth was in that moment Moreno felt as if he could drink the whole city dry atop a throne of their dead and still note be satisfied.  Deeper and deeper into his veins he took the other man's essence, feeding a furnace that had been roaring since before the foundation of the very city his now found himself in.  Finally with a frustrated growl Alejandro severed the kiss and closed the wound tossing the vagrant to the ground where he proceeded to have a seizure thrashing as his body betrayed him.

Only one thing was certain as Alejandro stepped over the broken thing's spastic body, he needed more...
