Leading the way upstairs to her office from the club floor, Esther bids Alexander and Charlotte make themselves comfortable. The white carpet is soft and lush underfoot, plainly newly lain. She gestures them to the seating are off to the right as they enter, with black couches of soft, buttery leather. " Sil vous plait, mes a mis," Esther says gracefully, closing the door behind her and resetting security to ensure their privacy.

Alexander enters just behind Charlotte and Esther, taking the moment to allow both women to sit before he does. Then making himself comfortable at Chalotte's side, he speaks.
"Forgive me, French isn't my strong suit, though I do recognize the gesture and appreciate your hospitality. Esther."

"I have tried to introduce him to the language, but it never seems to stick," she explains, taking a seat beside her beau. "Though your accent is lovely, darling."

Esther gives that velvety smile. "Thank you, Charlotte. A proficiency for code-switching comes from growing up Quebecois," she replies, settling herself upon the couch with her long legs angled off to the side with her ankles crossed.
"And trust me, Charlotte, I understand. It took quite a while for me to educate some gentlemen friends of my own as to the benefits of the French language. And then there were some for whom it was second nature."
The Daeva cannot hide the wistfulness that creeps into the right-hand corner of her mouth at that, though it fades away quickly with the deepening of said smile.

As the two women discuss the virtues of the language of the very man who opened this world to him, Alexander leans on the edge of the table. With his eyes lowered to meet both of them he interjects.
"To understand what to say about something as beautiful as the sun when reflected though the glistening sweat that rolls down the throat of the woman you love. To be able to express the fire in your belly when her chocolate or cool blue eyes catch hold of your soul and shake you like the tallest of tree or the stalks of sugar cane in a Georgia gale. To speak every hot, sweet, sticky, wonderful thing that matters..."
His words come with all the passion that seethes always just under his skin.
"It ain't a matter of language. The only thing you need to express that is the fire...the seething, writhing, living passion to let it go and feel it, because if you do, so will the one you need to hear it." he says.
"Language or passion..." he finishes, looking between the two before leaning back "...which one do you feel the strongest?"

Charlotte's eyes blaze under Alexander's, her bright red lips curled in a wicked smile. "Of course," she purrs, turning that delicious grin on Esther, "he is well versed in another language..."

"Of this I have had a glimpse, a taste," Esther confirms and agrees with Charlotte. However, the young Daeva suddenly feels an odd sensation...that of being almost out of her depth. Of being subject to the passions of others.
These are older, deeper monsters than herself. Alexander's back alone had told her that story in far more vivid detail than even her beast could. But she had handled it then, in her first foray out into the world after being confined to Judah's home and then the Havilah. Surely, she could handle it now, having been out in the world for a few years now.

Amused by the reaction and intrigued by one in particular, Alexander again rolls his fingers together as if to crack his knuckles on his left hand and speaks "As did we...but the question posed still remains. Then again, it might be one you would like to examine before you reply. "
When his eyes come up to Esther's they are undeniably challenging, inviting as he looks into her. "But, for now, would you be kind enough to give us the lay of the land here in Muncie, as we have no desire to step on toes while we are present."

"Then, to answer your question succinctly, there have indeed been words, expressions of language so passionate, as to thrum my undead blood and move to me to even more passionate exercises of action," the young Daeva admits to the gentleman.
She recognizes the look in his eyes as they capture hers; it is a look she had perfected, worn, and used to tempt many a man - hearts beating and still - before.
"As far as Muncie goes, there are several of us here, perhaps a large amount for such a small city, but still a relatively small amount nonetheless. Amongst we Succubi, there are yourselves, me, the Lady Liah Crassus who owns the Crassus Lounge and Gardens a few streets over, and Sir Malcolm Bennett-Grey, our Keeper of Elysium. Amongst the Haunts, we count one Nathaniel Fairchild and a newcomer, Miss Quinn Mason. The Mekhet stand at, what I can merely suspect, a Mr. Jean D'Eau and the Ventrue with Miss Angela Sisco. The Gangrel remain at two with our Sheriff Gryphon Aodhfin and our Prince, Sir Sebastian Ainsworth de Villain, a member of the once-auguste Villain family that ruled here for almost a century before Indiana's courts began to thrive again."

"mmmmmmm..." Alexander says at the initial reply "...so then the were not the very things expressed passion in and of themselves? Simply given voice, live and breath to be experienced outside of the being who was so moved as to give pen or print life?"
Now, something more gleams in Alexander's undead eyes. The fire that is ignited whenever one of those people he still counts as his own, shows the flame that he's battled for 150 years to fan. Intelligent, focused, strength worthy of opening such dialogue with. There had been others, most of them still drawing human breath: Tubman, DeBois, Dumas, Carver, Evers...and now this one. He could only smile.
"But, on your home...with such a small population, how have you managed to stay so well hidden? Too many of us in a tiny place creates issues normally."

"The Villain family is nothing if not expert at keeping up appearances, as is Lady Crassus. Her family is bred for one such cause: serving the vampiric better, protecting the Masquerade, and seeing to it that is kept in line," Esther replies, drawing out a fragrant cigarette, offering the silver case to the others if they should choose to indulge.
"She is her own woman now but I can see the threads of her...training still tugging at her joints. I am encouraging her to live as her own passion and elegance, to serve her own ends every now and again. She is far too lovely to never so do."

"Interesting to say the least. How hard would it be to establish a meeting with the Prince in this case? We'd both be grateful were you to help us on this as we don't want to start off on the wrong foot in someone else's territory. Were this Savannah, things would be reversed and I know we like to be aware of others near our home, even this far away." Alexander replies calmly as he continues to relax near these two potent beauties.

Esther takes a moment to slip the slender cigarette between her wine-dark lips and touch to it a flameless lighter, the stick sparking to life.
"Not that difficult. I shall contact him and see if we might meet with him so that I might make introductions," Esther replies with a nod, silver-blue smoke coiling, serpentine, from between her parted lips as she then draws on the cigarette.

To her statement of plan, Alexander gently nods and then stretches. "Outside of that, we'd like to welcome you to come to visit us sometime soon. We'd be happy to have you share the evening with us at some point soon. Good, conversation, perhaps sharing a few other things and an evening ride may all be in order."
Leaning forwards to roll his shoulders with a soft crack "You do ride, don't you?"

"And if you do not, might I suggest that it is never too late to learn?" Charlotte speaks up, her eyes sparkling with passion. "It is such a feeling..."
