Crimson Vision: The Most Dangerous Game

“I have a proposition for you.”

“Yeah ok sure, I’ll do anything so long as you pay me. Want me to weed your garden, take care of your dog, or are you what?” The ratty looking man raised his hand flat and shook it back and forth, indicating that he was thinking Sebastian wanted him for something more.

“Nothing like that. I have a piece of property that I want you to cross, as quickly as you can.” Sebastian said cutting him off.

Wild brown eyes peered at Sebastian from under bushy eyebrows. “You want me to walk across a field? That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve every heard.”

“You might think so, but I want you to get there alive.”

“What’s that supposed to mean? You make it sound like you’re going to hunt me.”

Sebastian’s cool blue eyes laughed as the man guessed right, “That’s because I am.”

Fear welled up in the mans eyes and he held his hand in front of him, “Whoa whoa whoa, I don’t think that’s a good idea. I mean think was what the cops might think..”

“I’ll give you $100,000,” a servant stepped forward and placed a brief case on the table in front of them, in a well practiced motion he flipped over the lid and turned it around to display several large stacks of cash. That shut the man up.

“Ok yeah, yeah I’ll do it.

The hunt wasn’t much of a hunt, the man had simply ran into the woods hugging the briefcase close to his chest. Sebastian ran him in circles for several hours, before putting an arrow in his throat. He made sure the death had been quick, because he drew pleasure from the hunt, not the actual kill. That piece should be quick and painless.

Sebastian drained his quary dry, sucking every last drop from the dead mans veins before it got too cold. Then with deft hands, he wrapped rope around the mans legs and lifted his lifeless body into the air. He then produced a single large hunting knife and began to field dress the human as if he were little more than a doe. A servant came forward and took a bucket of innards to take to the kennels to feed the hounds. Later several large packages were taken and placed in storage for his favorite hound, Hera.

There was little left of the man when Sebastian was done. He’d taken everything he could and then some, all of it had some purpose. Ultimately though Sebastian was disappointed, perhaps the shadows would provide better sport.
