As the two kindred interacted they would feel more eyes upon them but now the sensation was different, it was more tangible and yet distant. The overall sensation was hard to describe, but the chilly shriek that raced down both of their spines was easy to comprehend—it was the bodies warning of danger or a threat. While their eyes could not gleam or glance upon any of the formless shadows they had witnessed within the city, the Daeva and Gangrel knew without doubt, something was in the darkness.
There was something there, watching them ...

Malcolm listens intently to the Reeve's report. His lips thin, and his blue eyes chill at the suggestion that he is trapped in this wretched place. Trapped by shadows! The thought was as laughable as the reality was intolerably offensive. He would not allow his requiem to be dictated by these things. "That is indeed a comfort," Malcolm says in a hushed tone. He focuses his attention on the darkness gathering at the periphery of his vision. "The first, after yourself and our prince?" he clarifies with a serpentine glint in his cold eyes. What had the two Invictus planned in response to this siege, he wonders. ( 3 Successes, keeping an eye on the shadows. DON'T BLINK.)

As Malcolm cast his eyes about the area he would not see any more of the shadowy forms, at least nearby.
In the far distance though, where they had come from, he would see a figure standing amongst the roofs once more. The figure was nothing more than a dot of darkness against the night sky, and yet he 'knew' it was there. He could feel the eyes of this 'thing' on himself and Aodhfin both, watching them, observing, and ultimately flickering away once more ...
(ooc: Introduction pre-plot is complete in this thread, continue RP!)
"The first, as in the only other one besides myself. The Prince hasn't been notified yet since I had no way of contacting him, and no real information to give," Aodhfin admits. His eyes moving towards the knight and drawing in a breath, trying to clear his mind and decide how to handle these next few words, "I only discovered they would prevent us from leaving ... three nights ago? Experimented last night to make sure I wasn't mistaken." Tapping his chin a few times and turning to face the direction that would lead them back to downtown, Aodhfin would continue speaking in a calm manner, "One of the reasons I was outside and 'near' the lounge was to see if either the Prince or Seneschal would show up and give them warning and what little infor-."
The two would hear a sudden beeping going off with Aodhfin raising a brow before remember what the beeping was. He would reach into his jacket and pull out a pager, "It seems something urgent has come up ..." Scratching his head he would look to Malcolm, "The Harpy has called for a meeting with myself and the prince, I can guess about what ... will you be coming?" Aodhfin had no way of contacting Esther back with the pager, so Malcolm would be a surprise either way.

The Harpy. Malcolm had only briefly met the Succubus before the Prince had appointed her to the position. How generous, to give her such a valuable learning opportunity. A Harpy calling for a meeting with the Prince, as though he were a common valet to be summoned with a bell - the unmitigated gall.
"Ah, I should not wish to intrude, unless you think I would be of some small assistance. I - and my armory - are at His Majesty's command." Malcolm replies politely. His fingers are as cold as the silver under his skin, and he nods toward the squeaking box. "Has His Majesty's Seneschal been called for, as well?"

Thinking for a moment on that last question, Aodhfin would let a hand slip to one of the small tree's they had placed for decoration alongside the trails of the graveyard. His own hands squeezing the bark as he tried to decide what exactly this was all over, "I do not know for sure."
If nothing else, Aodhfin was still trying to piece something together but the facts he needed eluded him for now, "Either way, this will likely be a short discussion considering what I know versus what I don't know." The man wouldn't let his grip last too long on the tree, pushing off the object and turning, "It might be for the best, i'm going to suggest that members of rank and status stay paired with one or two others at all time ... for now at least."
Once Aodhfin pushed off the tree, he would step back onto the trail and signal, "I know where they are, we'll be there in little time."

With a solemn nod, Malcolm rises from the bench and follows after the Gangrel, keeping pace as his cane's iron tip clicks against the concrete.
