"The honor was mine Sir Bennet-Grey." he pulled back the amulet, his eyes gleaming in the dim light of the room. He knew full well he no longer had the ability to force him to take it. "Where would you have me hide this?" he asked raising he hand with the book in it. He twisted it slightly as if it were dangling from a string.

"Entrust it to me," Malcolm suggests with a note of command that the imperious monster cannot conceal. "The amulet perhaps should be cast into a volcano's furnace, but the book I can ensure will be lost forever in the shadows."

Sebastian's eyes narrow slightly at the command. The enthusiasm of the command was not lost in the moment, it caused Sebastian beast to perk up. A long moment passed before he made any move. He didn't know why he was so bent on keeping the book, but it was clear that Malcom wanted it too. The fire popped behind him.
"It would make more sense to destroy them both. An amulet can be remade, a book such as this...cannot." He slowly offered the book to the other Kindred. There was no reason that Sebastian should hold on to the book this hard. He had no knowledge of the occult, nor did he have a drive to learn it. He had to let it go, along with everything else. Though he couldn't shake the feeling that this would come back and haunt him later.
"I caution hiding it too deep in the shadows, those same shadows consumed this town."

"Shadows," Malcolm growls, taking the tome. He instantly feels the pressing need to wash his hands. "If only the shadows had consumed us. No, to wit, mortal meat has consumed this city, destroyed our enterprise. And why? The madness at the tower? To be driven out by mayflies..."

Sebastian looked at the other Kindred. "To be driven out by hornets! These mortals have more sting than you give them credit for, one was capable of wielding fire as easily as a child with a ribbon. I have one final task before I leave." Without much more discussion, Sebastian strode out of the room toward the back of the house. He exited the building near a large fuel tank. Sebastian was a vehicle enthusiast, anything with an internal combustion engine, and this tank was where he kept his aircraft fuel. He diligently started to string together several large hoses, and drug one end toward the house's now open back door.
