Vampire the Requiem - 2nd Edition Character Creation & System Explanations
Below you will find the character creation rules that are instituted by the New World of Darkness core book, published by Onyx Path Publishing. The book is titled as Vampire the Requiem - 2nd Edition. For those of you who do not know yet, this second edition book is a small reset of the franchise, orchestrated by Onyx Path Publishing, whom purchased the rights to the New World of Darkness when CCP purchased White-Wolf and made the decision to discontinue in-house publishing of the New World and Old World of Darkness.

Vampire the Requiem - 2nd Edition Basic Sheet Creation, Break Down, and Information
The following steps are provided with the intention of helping players understand how to create a base character sheet in the New World of Darkness. While you are doing these steps, you should be considering who your character is, not as a kindred or mortal but as an entity and force of personality.
Please take note that below each step will be a short box of text that describes the item in question. Vampire the Requiem - 2nd Edition The Kindred Template & Break Down of the new Requiem
The following steps are provided to help players add the Kindred Template to their basic character sheet, and help establish their role as a Vampire in the World of Darkness. The new 'Vampire the Requiem - 2nd Edition' has made some subtle changes that alter the way this template works, including new features such as: Dirges, Masks, Banes, and Touchstones. Almost all parts of the kindred template have been altered in some way, from how disciplines work to how important a Clan or Covenant is.
This section of the Creation Process will not necessarily be the most intensive, but it will require some deliberation on your parts as players. A character sheet, in the new system, does progress a bit more slowly than the first edition of Vampire the Requiem though and this is due to the new experience system—which will be discussed further in this thread. The characters are not 'whole' from the beginning by any means but they progress at their own rates since the experience system is very driven off personal stories now.
Step 5: Choose a Clan
Step 6: Choose a CovenantStep 7: Choose two of your Anchors (Masks and Dirges) (#84)Step 8: Choose the third Anchor (Touchstone) (#87)

Vampire the Requiem - 2nd Edition The Finishing Touches: Merits, Disciplines, and Advantages
The finishing touches for a character sheet mostly consist of Merits, Disciplines, and Advantages for that character. The changes that have been made in the Vampire the Requiem - Second Edition are fairly steep. The majority of Disciplines and Merits are radically different. Disciplines have become extremely different from their previous versions, with every discipline having its own flair and purpose; as opposed to the first edition which was mostly the same effects between disciplines, but with different themes.
Step 9: Distribute 4 Disciplines points and 10 Merits points
Step 10: Record your Character Advantages
